Budapest, Hungary – Who doesn’t crave for a good burger once in a while – or even more often than that? Well, thanks to a new ranking, you’ll be able to easily find the best addresses and burger spots in Prague, Budapest and more or less wherever you are in Europe.
To create its Best Burgers in Europe List, published earlier this month, the Big 7 travel and leisure website asked its 1.5 million readers their favorite burger restaurants in Europe and consulted with a panel of food experts. The result? A ranking of the top 50 burger places in Europe, with at least one address in each European country.
According to Big 7’s 50 Best Burgers in Europe ranking, London’s Burger and Beyond is crowned as the ultimate best experience throughout the continent to indulge in a delicious hamburger. Second place goes to Gasoline Grill, located in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen.
But luckily for us, burger joints in Central Europe also came highly recommended by Big 7’s readers, with two restaurants ranked in the top 5.
In the Czech Republic, Prague’s Dish bistro was ranked as the third best burger joint in Europe and described as “a spectacular burger that you can’t actually fault in any way”. Located in the Vinohrady district of Prague, a few minutes away from Namesti Miru (Římská 29), Dish offers a wide choice of mouth-watering burgers, from the vegetarian Portobello to the Sicario for the amateurs of spices or the signature Dish burger.
With fairly reasonable prices ranging from 200 Kc to 300 Kc (8-12 euros), Dish is open Monday to Saturday (11 am – 10 pm) and Sunday (12 pm – 10 pm). You can also order take-outs every day until 8 pm.
To get a closer look at the best burger addresses in the Czech capital, you might also consider checking out Brewsta’s 2018 list of the best burgers in Prague: the top 3 is made up of Kantyna, Mr. HotDog and U Kurelu, and Dish is ranked n°10.

And second entry for Central Europe: in Hungary, Budapest’s Bamba Marha Burger Bar was ranked as the 5th best burger bistro in Europe by Big 7’s readers, right after another London address, Patty and Bun (n°4). If you live in Budapest and still haven’t visited the Bamba Marha Burger Bars, you shouldn’t waste one single minute to try some of their delicious burgers in one of the restaurant’s four different spots scattered across the city (Andrássy út 46, Deák Ferenc tér 3, Október 6. u. 6 and Haris köz 2).
Another advantage: highly competitive prices for top-quality food and produce, with burgers ranging from roughly 1.000 HUF for a chicken burger to 2.200 HUF for their signature meal La Bamba Mexicana.

Also worth mentioning is Poland’s Taste Burger restaurant in Warsaw (ranked 31st best burger in Europe), the Tuning Burger in Budapest (42nd) and Roxor, a Bratislava burger bistro ranked 48th in Big 7’s list.
Although every European country has at least one entry in the final ranking, some of them stand out as particularly attractive destinations for burger lovers. The U.K. is the clear winner of the contest, with 7 burger restaurants in the top 50, followed by Germany (4 addresses), Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain (3 burger joints), and Hungary, Ireland, Denmark, France and Finland (2).
