Prague, Czech Republic – The Big 7 Travel website conducted a wide-ranging international survey to put one of the world’s most-debated questions to a vote: which country has the sexiest accent or language?
According to the top 50 sexiest accents ranking compiled by Big 7 Travel, the winner is… New Zealand’s ‘Kiwi’ accent, crowned sexiest accent on earth by voters from all around the world.
It’s followed by the South African, Irish, Italian and Australian, while the rest of the top 10 is made up of native speakers from Scotland, France, Spain, southern USA and Brazil.
Although falling short from making the top 10, the Czech language ranks as the highly commendable 11th sexiest in the world, thus claiming the number one slot among Slavic languages and in Central and Eastern Europe as a whole.
Czech-native speakers are a few spots ahead of their Hungarian counterparts (14th sexiest accent worldwide), “beautiful when sung, with a rhythmic vibe to the consonants” according to the ranking, and the Ukrainian one (15th).
“One of the most popular Slavic accents, Polish is a strong up-and-comer” in the international ranking and arrives at the 27th position, tucked between the Indian and Boston accents.
Sadly, the Slovak one failed to make it to the top 50 sexiest accents in the world.
