Czech hiker tragically dies in Canada

Prague, Czech Republic – A Czech citizen died earlier this week while hiking in Canada.

The 58-year-old man, whose name and identity haven’t been released by local authorities, was reportedly on a hike with two friends on Crowsnest Mountain, south-western Alberta, when he fell from a cliff.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of the incident around 4.30 pm on Wednesday after receiving an emergency call for help. His body was eventually found and recovered by the Kananaskis Search and Rescue team, with the assistance of emergency services, according to local reports.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The hiking trail on Crowsnest Mountain, located roughly 250 km south of Calgary and 100 km from the U.S. border, was temporarily closed on Wednesday evening after the incident, but reopened on Friday.
